ARTROでは、2024年3月8日から4月7日まで竹村京個展「仮留めの庭」を開催致します。 - 誰のでもない、誰かの庭、 昨日みた夢を思い出すように、その記憶は朧げでどこか象徴的で、その揺らぎの中から、かろうじて仮留めされてそこにあるようにみえます。 具体的な何処か、誰かの庭でなく、今までの「ここ」と「そこ」とが混在しているその庭は、自分の内面と記憶、その心象風景そのものです。 そこでは、時系列や因果からも自由に、記憶は心の中を感情や思い出と一緒に漂っていて、生きている私たちと共に、その姿、彩りを変え続けています。 本展のそれぞれの庭は、油彩、アクリル、絹によって紡がれており、その質感と揺らぐ絹布が織りなす層の上を私たちの視点は固定されずに漂います。揺らぎの中に心象風景とその記憶をうつした竹村京の作品をぜひご覧ください。 ARTRO is pleased to present Kei Takemura's solo exhibition, "Tentative Garden," from March 8 to April 7, 2024. - No one's garden, yet someone's. Like remembering a dream you had yesterday, the memory is vague and somewhat symbolic, and from the fluctuation of the memory, it appears to be there, barely temporarily fixed in place. It is not a specific place or someone else's garden, but a garden where "here" and "there" are mixed together, where one's inner self, one's memories, and one's mental landscape itself exist. There, memories drift through the mind with feelings and memories, free from timelines and consequences, and continue to change their forms and colors along with us who are living. Each garden in this exhibition is woven by oil, acrylic, and silk, and our eyes drift unfixed over the layers of textures and shimmering silk fabrics. 竹村 京
1975年東京生まれ、東京藝術大学美術学部絵画科油画専攻卒業。同大学大学院美術研究科修了後、ドイツ・ベルリンでの留学を経て滞在。現在は高崎で制作活動を行なっている。刺繍という行為は、竹村にとって「仮に」という状態を作り出すことを意図しており、失われてしまったものや記憶のかけらをより具体的な存在へと昇華させる。 主な個展として、「親愛なるあなたのために」タカ・イシイギャラリー（東京、2004年）。「Kei Takemura」ギャラリー・アレクサンドラ・サヘブ（ベルリン、2004年）、「はなれても」タカ・イシイギャラリー（東京、2007年）、「A part Apart」トーキョーワンダーサイト（東京、2008年）、「見知らぬあなたへ」タカ・イシイギャラリー（東京、2012年）、「なんか空から降ってくるよ」タカ・イシイギャラリー（東京、2016年）、「Madeleine. Kei Takemura
Kei Takemura (b. 1975, Tokyo), lives and works in Japan. The act of embroidery is intended to create a state of "tentative" for her, sublimating lost objects and fragments of memory to a more tangible existence. Major solo exhibition include “For dearest You”, Taka Ishii Gallery, Tokyo (2004); “Kei Takemura”, Galerie Alexandra Saheb, Berlin (2004); “even if we’re not together”, Taka Ishii Gallery, Tokyo (2007); “A part Apart”, Tokyo Wonder Site, Tokyo (2008); “dearest unknown You”, Taka Ishii Gallery, Tokyo (2012) and “Madeleine. V. Olympic, and my Garden” (2019). In 2005 Takemura released her first publication of works, Takemura Kei in Berlin 2000-2005. Takemura participated in the 15th Biennale of Sydney and Yokohama Triennale 2020, and has consistently continued to strengthen her international presence while expanding her areas of activity.
