ARTROでは、2024年8月1日から8月22日まで、土屋咲瑛個展「不可分な自分の領分→ぐるぐる→」を開催致します。 ARTRO is pleased to present Sae Tsuchiya's solo exhibition, "The amorphous domain is mine→in loop→" from August 1 to August 22, 2024. ———————————————————— 街を歩くときや何かに没頭しているときに感じる、「自らの不在感」に注目し、その原因やそれを取り巻く質感を捉えることを目指して、ドローイング、ターポリンへのプリントや、既製品を組み合わせた立体作品を含む、インスタレーションの制作を行っている。 本展示では落語『あたま山』を下敷きに、自らの存在感を不在的にしてくるもの（大きな建物や、壁、問題、美術品など）との出会いとその没入の瞬間を、会場全体とも響き合いながら示す。 誰しも自分というものを持っているものですが、その端というのはどちらまででしょうか。 手の端、足の指の端でしょうか。 私は視界の端、無音の端、感覚の端、そこまでが自分であり、そこからどうしようもできない自分の内側の始まりこそが、手の端や足の指の端であると感じます。 この考えにおける自分とは、ぶよぶよぐるぐると内外すら毎秒更新される、不可分なもので、そのあり方は私にとってすごく自然に思えます。 そういった不可分な自分の領分を、地図、ドーナツ、仮面といった、何かがないことでそのものたり得ているものたちを取り込みながら指し示したいです。 土屋 咲瑛 This exhibition focuses on the "sense of one's own absence" that one feels when walking in the city and when immersed in something. It also aims to capture the causes and the textures that surround them. Based on this idea, there is an installation exhibition that includes drawings, prints on tarpaulin, and objects made of ready-made materials. This exhibition, based on the rakugo story "Atama-yama," shows a moment of encounter and immersion with things that make one's own presence absent (large buildings, walls, questions, artworks, etc.), while also resonating with the entire exhibition space. Everyone has a self, but to what end is that end? We could answer that we are the edge of our hand or the edge of our toes. I feel that I am up to the edge of sight, the edge of silence, the edge of sensation, and that it is the edge of my hand or the edge of my toes that is the beginning of my inner self, from which I cannot help myself. The "I" in this idea is an indivisible thing that is constantly being renewed, inside and outside, every second, and this way of being seems very natural to me. I want to point to this indivisible territory of myself by incorporating things like maps, doughnuts, and masks, all of which become what they are by not being something. Sae Tsuchiya
