"Tempo Lila" 450×550mm, Oil on Canvas, 2024 "Amore Viola / Inconscious" 600x600mm, Oil on Canvas, 2024 ———————————————————— Tempo Lila（リラのとき） 時折、同じ食材を執拗に、しばらくの間繰り返し食べる癖があり、今回は茄子であった。 フランスで手に入る茄子は、日本の米茄子のように、パン！と身が太ったもので、私はその光沢のある紫色のフェティッシュな物体を触りたいがために、食べない日も市場で茄子を手に取っていた。 へたを切ると、その下には、ピンクがかった薄紫色が現れ、その色の美しさに毎回釘付けになっていた。 その色を観察しすぎたせいなのか、近頃の私の視界には、その薄紫桃色がフィルターのようにかかっていた。 いつものように、人の肌を描いていたところ、その薄紫桃色は、皮膚の下からひっそり見える血管の色にも入っていることに気付いた。 私の網膜にオーガンジーのように被さった、薄紫桃色＝リラ色は、私の呼吸にまで侵食してきて、カンバスの中で集中するほど、画面をリラ色に染めていくことが出来ているような激しい興奮が湧き上がり、と同時に、それを落ち着きなさいと云わんばかりのカンバスの中のポートレートの瞼はメランコリックで、そんな２人（絵の中の人物と私）で作った作品が今回のシリーズです。 空白恐怖症的に、何もない背景が描けなかった私は、茄子を観察し続けた事で、リラ色の呼吸を獲得し、選ぶべき空気の色を冷静に置くことが出来た、初めてのシリーズとも言えます。 田中麻記子 Tempo Lila At times, I have a habit of obsessively eating the same ingredient repeatedly for a while. This time, it was eggplant. The eggplants available in France are similar to Japanese Bei-nasu, plump and robust. I was so enamored with their glossy purple, fetish-like appearance that even on days when I didn't eat them, I would still pick them up at the market just to touch them. When I cut off the stem, a pinkish-purple hue would appear underneath, and I was mesmerized by its beauty every time. Perhaps due to my excessive observation of that color, my vision had recently been tinged with that pinkish-purple hue as if it were a filter. As I was painting human skin as usual, I noticed that the pinkish-purple hue was subtly present in the color of the blood vessels just beneath the surface. The lilac color that draped over my retina like organza started to invade even my breathing. The more I concentrated on my canvas, the more I felt a fierce excitement as if I could paint the entire scene in lilac. At the same time, the melancholic eyelids of the portrait within the canvas seemed to urge me to calm down. The works created by the two of us (the person in the painting and me) constitute this series. Due to my fear of empty spaces, I had never been able to paint a background with nothing in it. However, by continuously observing the eggplant, I acquired the lilac breath, and for the first time, I was able to calmly place the chosen color of the air. バニラビーンズと発酵バターを焦がした芳醇な香りとしっとりサクッと焼き上げた魅惑的な味わいのフィナンシェです。
