ARTRO is pleased to present Aya Higuchi's solo exhibition, "after the rain", from February 27th to March 30th, 2025. ARTROでは、2025年2月27日から3月30日まで、樋口亜弥個展「after the rain」を開催致します。 “After the rain” I depict encounters with nature and moments in daily life when I feel "fulfilled.","being alive". These are records of fulfilled moments and traces of life. The title after the rain signifies the moment when the rain that had been pouring down, stops,—the ambience present there. It is the moment when light begins to shine through the breaks in the rain clouds, the earth is freshly moistened, and the world appears to glow. I love that time. No matter what kind of days we go through, there is no rain that never stops, and light shines down on everyone equally. This realization brings me comfort,and encourage me. I hope that those who encounter my paintings can imagine their own sense of alive, small, fulfilled moments. Aya Higuchi “After the rain” 自然との出会いや、日常生活の中で、"満ちている""生きている"と思える瞬間を描いています。満ち足りたひととき、生きている痕跡の記録です。 タイトルのafter the rainは、降り注いだ雨がふっとやんだ瞬間、その空気を意味しています。 雨雲の切れ間から光がさしはじめ、大地が瑞々しく潤い世界が輝いて見える瞬間です。 私はその時間が好きです。どんな日々の中にあってもやまない雨はなく、光には誰にも平等に降り注いでいることを実感できるからです。絵に出会う方々にとっての生きている実感、ささいな満ち足りた時間を想像していただけたら幸いです。 樋口亜弥
